The Argus BNVD 1431 MK2 Night Vision Goggles are a lightweight, modular dual-tube NV system designed for professional field use with improved strength, versatility, and optical performance. This upgraded MK2 version offers multiple enhancements over earlier models, making it one of the most durable and mission-ready options in the articulating goggle category.
The BNVD 1431 MK2 features a reinforced dovetail interface for a stronger and more secure lock-up when helmet mounted. Its newly recontoured skeletonized pod design reduces unnecessary bulk while increasing rigidity, contributing to improved durability and overall handling. The system includes IPD (interpupillary distance) stops to maintain consistent eye alignment and ensure a repeatable fit, even during high-mobility operations.
This model uses 10160-format image intensifier tubes with auto-gain capability and is equipped here with NVT Gen2+ Auto-Gated White Phosphor tubes rated at 1600+ minimum FOM, delivering clean resolution and excellent low-light performance. The Argus LW optics package provides sharp visuals with edge-to-edge clarity while maintaining a lightweight profile.
The BNVD 1431 MK2 is powered by an onboard AA battery and also includes a Fischer port for compatibility with external battery packs to extend runtime. An integrated onboard IR illuminator provides close-range illumination for tasks such as map reading or navigation in complete darkness.
