The Argus APNVG panoramic housing kit is the chassis platform for building a panoramic night vision goggle system. This is a HOUSING AND ACCESSORIES ONLY KIT and requires compatible optics and image intensifier tubes to complete assembly. Designed for professional night vision builders and advanced users, it delivers the panoramic capability of the APNVG platform with a dramatically increased field of view compared to traditional systems.
Unlike standard binocular or monocular night vision devices with a 40-degree field of view, the Argus APNVG panoramic housing kit supports a 100-degree field of view when fully assembled. It uses a four-tube architecture that maintains image clarity and proper collimation across all pods when paired with compatible tubes and optics. The two center pods remain forward-facing to provide true stereoscopic depth perception, while the outboard pods angle outward to deliver enhanced peripheral awareness. This allows the user to view three circular image zones seamlessly, resulting in unmatched situational awareness under night conditions.
The housing supports high-resolution optical components comparable to Carson mil-spec lenses when properly installed. It maintains optical alignment and performance sufficient to resolve Group 5, Element 5 on a Hoffman ANV-126A test set when paired with quality optics. Built for real-world use, the APNVG housing is waterproof to 2 meters for 30 minutes and carries a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This panoramic goggle platform is designed for rugged field use, mission flexibility, and wide FOV capability.
