The BNVD USBP (Universal Strobe Battery Pack) is a remote external battery pack designed for use with compatible night vision devices. Powered by four AA batteries, it provides extended runtime and improved helmet balance by relocating power from the goggles to the back of the helmet. The USBP comes equipped with a Fischer-style power cable and is ready for direct use with select NVG systems.
This battery pack also includes integrated rear IR strobes for increased safety and team identification during night operations. The strobe function can be toggled on or off using the switch located at the bottom of the battery pack. The unit mounts to any helmet via hook-and-loop (Velcro) attachment, included with the kit.
Compatibility
The BNVD USBP is compatible with night vision goggles that use Fischer connectors, including:
- BNVD-1431
- BNVD-931
- BNVD PVS-31A
- GPNVG
Not compatible with LEMO-powered systems such as:
- ANVIS
- RNVG
- KATANA
However, users may run the USBP with these systems by purchasing a Fischer-to-LEMO adapter cable (not included).
